Alternative Learning Programs (ALOP)


Government funded projects are managed through the school to target students with differing needs, to build on their strengths and to give all students the ability to succeed.

  • The programs focus on building practical skills, taking into consideration the interests of the students and utilize the skilful people within the community.

  • The programs aim to provide the students with support and links towards a seamless transition across the education, training and employment systems.

  • Programs operating in 2009 are;
    - “Hands On Maintenance”,
    - “Introduction to Engineering Skills”,
    - “Introduction to Automotive”,
    - “Muay Thai Kickboxing”,
    - “Scrapbook Mentoring”,
    - “Girlosophie – A girl’s journey for survival”,
    - “Seven Heaven Café”
