School
prides itself on its record of catering for each student. The school has an
excellent academic record, consistently bettering the State and like school average in SACE achievement and
subject results. A high proportion of its students enter University and TAFE Colleges
on completion of the SACE. The school also has a wide range of students in
School Based New Apprenticeships and other VET courses.
Eudunda Area
School
is a State leader in Middle School teaching, having recently introduced Middle
School Graduation, Common Tasks, Round Table Assessment, all based on a common
theme of Sustainable Energy. Recently the school has reintroduced an excellent
Agricultural course in Years 8 to 10, which features a wide range of options
for students including viticulture, small and large animal management, and
permaculture.
Eudunda Area Schools
primary students gain from small classes, an emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy,
specialist teaching in Physical Education and Japanese, and a growing emphasis
on the Performing Arts. Over the past couple of years there has been marked
improvement in student scores in the State Literacy and Numeracy tests.
Eudunda Area
School
is developing a reputation as a school of excellence in Sustainable Living. For
many years the school has won KESAB awards for its well-maintained grounds,
physical improvements and tidiness. More recently the school has introduced a
recycling service for the town of Eudunda
(the Kerbside Krew) which has won State and National Awards for initiative in
sustainable living. The school has joined the Solar Schools Project and is
investigating alternative energy sources for the school. The school runs a
permaculture programme as part of its Agriculture course.
